The unfortunate reality is that for such patients suffering from degenerative conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, Dementia, and Multiple Sclerosis, or who have suffered a traumatic brain injury or spinal cord injury that has substantially impacted their neurological function, they’ll require both a level of intensive care to help them recover in the short-term, but also manage their condition and associated symptoms in the long-term.

Regardless of our best intentions, especially when it comes to our loved ones, the fact is that it remains very difficult for family members to provide the care that patients afflicted with any of these conditions truly need and deserve.
